Immediacy Today – Straight Forward Workflows for Immediate Loading from Single-tooth to Full Arch

Osseointegration with dental implants has initially been published in 1969, nearly 55 years ago, and later been established as one of the standard procedures for the reconstruction of edentulous arches, partly edentulous areas and single tooth gaps.

During this long time period a continuous evolution of treatment concepts has been taking place, all basing on the same basic techniques already developed in the 1960s.

New digital technologies allow for completely new workflows from single tooth to full arch reconstructions. Besides a significant reduction of treatment time these workflows can help to make the dream of minimal invasive surgery possible and, most important, improve the treatment outcome, both aesthetically and functionally.

FRIDAY 8:30 – 10:00   |   FRIDAY 10:30 – 12:00

DR. MISCHA KREBS BIO: Frequent lectures nationally as well as internationally on oral surgery and implant dentistry. Author of national and international scientific publications.

DR. PABLO HESS BIO: Pablo Hess is oral surgeon. He is assistant professor at the department of oral surgery and implantology of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University of Frankfurt and also partner at the centre of oral competence Dres. Kempf & Dr. Hess. His research and passion deals with different loading times as early and immediate loading as well as aesthetic results in implant dentistry.

Dr. Martin Wanendeya

Using Digital Technology to Achieve the Optimal Pink and White Aesthetics in Implant Dentistry. From Single Teeth to Full Arches.

When the pink-and-white balance in implant dentistry is in harmony, any restoration can disappear into the mouth and look lifelike. But implant dentistry faces a unique challenge in achieving this because, on the extraction of any tooth, the hard and soft tissue will remodel, usually with resorption. This makes preservation and reconstruction of the hard and soft tissue, to recreate the ideal balance, a fundamental pillar in implant aesthetics.

This lecture will examine strategies to preserve and augment hard and soft tissue and the prosthetic steps to create an ideal pink-and-white balance in single teeth and full arches.

Aims and objectives.

  1. Present some strategies for planning optional pink and white aesthetics for single teeth, multiple teeth, and full arches.
  2. Understand the decision-making around preservation vs reconstruction in implant dentistry.
  3. Learn how to use digital technology to optimise aesthetic outcomes.

SATURDAY 8:30 – 10:00   |   SATURDAY 10:30 – 12:00

He is a full member of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry.

Dr. Anastasia Cholakis

DENTAL IMPLANTS FOR LIFE- 25-year retrospective on how to address implant complications

Dental implant treatment is currently prevalent around the world. There have been significant efforts, in the last several years, to ensure an increase in the longevity and biocompatibility of this treatment modality. Today, more than ever, most dental practices are treating and maintaining patients with dental implants. This presentation will assist oral healthcare providers to:

1) Diagnose peri-implant diseases.
2) Utilize a treatment algorithm to select the most appropriate therapeutic intervention.
3) Review long term outcomes of peri-implantitis surgical therapies.
4) Customize supportive peri-implant care.

FRIDAY 13:30 – 15:00

BIO: Dr. Anastasia Kelekis-Cholakis obtained her BA in 1988 and her DMD and Diploma in Periodontics from the University of Manitoba in 1992 and 1998. Designing Dental Implant Restorations

In this presentation the prosthetic design for different dental implant restorations will be reviewed.
