How Invisalign® Works
Invisalign® is a series of custom-made orthodontic aligners. They looks like clear mouth guards, and are barely visible when in place. All you do is switch the aligners every couple of weeks, and they slowly shift your teeth into place. No fuss, no muss and no pain! They are virtually invisible and work like magic!
Invisalign is Used to Treat:
- Underbites, crossbites or overbites
- Overcrowded or spaced teeth
- Crooked, missing or extra teeth
- Speech, chewing or biting problems
Invisalign® Benefits Over Traditional Braces:
- You can remove the Invisalign® tray at any time
- No sharp metal to irritate your gums
- You can eat whatever foods you like without worrying
- You can floss and brush like normal, leading to better overall oral health
- Less visits to the orthodontist
What Does Getting Invisalign® Invisible Braces Involve?
Every Southwest Specialty Group Invisalign® client gets their own customized treatment plan — it all begins with a smile assessment including X-ray imaging, photos and tooth impressions. We will then create a digital 3D model and recommend the ideal treatment plan for your needs.
We will then create a series of BPA-free plastic aligners that you will swap out and in every two weeks. Every 4–6 weeks we’ll book you in for a progress review check-up to see how your teeth are doing. Before you know it, your ultimate smile will be ready!
The average adult Invisalign® treatment takes around 12 months start to finish, although the duration of treatment varies patient to patient.
