What sets Southwest Specialty Group apart is our ability to offer a full-range of in-house procedures, conducted by the absolute best in the dental business. When it comes to periodontal dental implants, we are Winnipeg’s go-to clinic for even the most complicated procedures.

Bone Grafting (Horizontal & Vertical)

When there is a lack of bone in your jaw for a dental implant or other dental procedure, bone grafting is often the solution. Bone grafting is the process of taking bone from elsewhere in your jaw or body — often the hip — and grafting it onto your jaw to support the implant. After a piece of bone is grafted in place, over a period of several months your existing bone and grafted bone will fuse together, creating a surface stable enough for a dental implant.

Sinus Augmentation

A Sinus Augmentation, also known as a sinus lift, is needed when there isn’t a sufficient amount of bone in the upper jaw (the sinuses are too close to the jaw) for a dental implant. During a Sinus Augmentation, the sinus membrane is raised upward (lifted) and bone is then added between your jaw and sinuses — this creates extra room for your dental implant to fit.
