Course Overview:

This course will highlight surgical and restorative techniques to accomplish predictable outcomes in the esthetic zone with implant therapy and soft tissue augmentation techniques. Treatment modalities will be demonstrated with high quality photography and case series discussion. Surgical modalities presented will include peri-implant tissue modification procedures prior, during and after implantation. Special emphasis will be placed on immediate provisionalization of implants to accomplish optimal peri-implant mucosa architecture. Techniques to transfer provisional emergence profile to the final restoration will be presented. The ABC protocol will also be presented and discussed as a treatment modality for congenitally missing teeth in the esthetic zone. Additionally, critical elements of restorative treatment and material choice will be discussed.

Educational Objectives:

At the end of this program, participants will be able to:

  1. Be informed on soft and hard tissue enhancement possibilities with grafting.
  2. Identify proper cases for immediate provisionalization and tissue shaping.
  3. Identify the importance of autogenous soft tissue grafting in the esthetic zone.
  4. Perform emergence profile transfer from provisional to final restoration.
  5. Be familiar with abutment design considerations.
