Course Overview:
The edentulous population continues to grow domestically as well as globally. This market has been underserved for many years, and patients have had to adapt to ill-fitting dentures. Thanks to advances in technologies and techniques, dental professionals are now able to predictably increase function, form and aesthetics using implant supported, fixed or removable prostheses.
This presentation will review current and new concepts on implant supported full mouth rehabilitation prostheses. Furthermore, it will focus on the different surgical and loading protocols to achieve the optimal outcome.
Course Objectives:
- Treatment planning for the edentulous/failing dentate patient
- Selection of appropriate prosthesis
- Review of current surgical concepts
- Review of different loading protocols:
- Immediate loading chair side
- Immediate loading post 24 hours
- Delayed loading
- Conversion of temporary prosthesis to the final prosthesis
- Maintenance of the rehabilitated patient
Course Goals:
After this presentation the attendees will be able to:
- Choose the appropriate treatment modality for different cases
- Correctly treatment plan the case of the edentulous/failing dentate patient
- Choose the appropriate loading protocol
- Understand the need for cantilevers, and the extend of those on the prosthesis
- Implement a realistic maintenance protocol for the fully rehabilitated patient
